5 of the Best Cameras for Holiday Snaps

When travelling abroad whether your on a budget holiday or your staying in a luxury villa in Greece, every one needs to capture those special holiday moments. Some of us might use smartphones or mobile phones with cameras to take photos, but for the most part the quality of photos taken from a mobile phone aren’t very good – at least, not with low to mid-range models.

So if you want to use an actual camera to take photos, what are the best ones for the job? We did some research and have come up with five of the best cameras to buy for taking your holiday snaps with – take a look at what we’ve found below!

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ40

Pansonic Lumix

Panasonic are a maker of high quality gadgets, and the Lumix DMC-TZ40 is certainly testament to that. It has an ultra-wide-angle 20x optical zoom Leica lens, and thanks to its Intelligent Resolution technology, a 40x digital zoom is also available with little deterioration of picture quality. Zoom functions are also available when recording videos with this camera too.

It also sports an 18.1 megapixel resolution, and has Wi-Fi and NFC (near field communications) technology built into it – making file transfers of photos and videos quick and easy.

Canon PowerShot SX280 HS

Cannon Powershot

The Canon PowerShot SX280 HS digital camera is compact and has all the features you need to capture and share your holiday adventures. This 12.1 megapixel camera has a 20x optical zoom (and 40x digital zoom), full HD video recording capabilities at 60 fps (frames per second), an automatic mode with 58 different detectable scenes, and GPS for tagging the locations of your images and videos.

Photos can be printed via Wi-Fi or USB connections, and it even has a HDMI port for connecting your camera to a HD television.

Samsung Galaxy Camera

It’s true that mobile phones are becoming more like cameras with the advances of photographic technology built into them, but did you know that cameras are also becoming more like mobile phones?

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a 17 megapixel camera with a 21x optical zoom lens, a 4.8-inch HD touchscreen display and full-HD 1080p video recording capabilities. But what makes this Android powered camera really special is that it is essentially like a mini-computer; it has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, and with the built-in Wi-Fi and 3G you can upload your photos and videos to the cloud – freeing you from a computer!

Nikon COOLPIX P330

Nikon Coolpix

The Nikon COOLPIX P330 is the company’s first ultra-compact camera to feature a 1/1.7-inch sensor size – this means that image quality is greatly increased. It is a 12.2 megapixel camera with a 5x optical zoom lens, 2x digital zoom, and is the perfect sized compact camera to take on holiday with you.

Fujifilm FinePix F770EXR

Fujifilm Finepix

A 16 megapixel digital camera, the Fujifilm FinePix F770EXR is your perfect travel companion.
